Finally packed and sorted out travel documents. The day was relatively quiet with a quick lunch with our friends Jonny and Amanda which was going well until Amy succumbed to the dreaded tummy bug. Jean rode to the rescue again allowing Sally to take me to the airport with Ellie (who was more interested in playing with a friend than seeing me off, but I think there is a positive in there somewhere).
I was now feeling uneasy as to the trip but with the surprise party and all other arrangements in place was to late to pull out now. Come what may I will be gone for a while.
The plane journey was uneventful but comfortable enough having the bassinet seat allowing for extra leg room. As usual failed to sleep.
